Christmas Craftaganza: applications received

Thanks to everyone who has contacted us about the next Craftaganza which will be held at Fabrica, 10th December. The closing date for sending us your applications for a stall at the event was last Friday and we have received a mountain of them. It is now the task of myself and Steph to go through each and every one of them and pick who we will be able to offer a stall to.

This is going to be pretty difficult as each application has probably been sent by a lovely creative individual who puts their heart into producing their wares. However, there simply isn’t room in Fabrica to provide everyone with the opportunity to sell at the next event so sadly selections must be made.

The main things we will be keeping in mind when choosing are as follows (in no particular order):

  • making sure a wide variety of handmade art, craft and design is represented, from the types of products you’d expect to find at traditional craft fairs, to more unusual and contemporary work, plus everything in between!
  • one of the core beliefs of the Craftaganza crew is that handmade products are easily as good as, and in so many ways better than their mass produced equivalent, so we will be looking for handmade ranges created to a high level of quality to best put this belief across to the public.
  •  to create the best showcase of art, craft and design, we need to avoid too many of the same products/stalls at the event. We have received multiple applications for some types of products, so as hard as it may be, we will be unable to offer stalls to some potential sellers even though their products may be excellent quality.

All notifications of stall allocation will be made by 1st August. Please remember that if you applied but we are unable to offer you a stall due to our limitations and necessary considerations, there will be other Craftaganza events at Fabrica throughout next year, so please do not be put off applying to sell with us in the future. All details, as they unfold, will be announced here on this blog and on our Facebook page.

Happy creating!
