So, here we are on the other side! The first Brighton Craftaganza happened this Saturday and I’m pretty sure everyone who was involved would class it as a real success! It attracted a lot of visitors and there was a real buzz in the air. Here are some of of the photos taken from the event itself, in case you didn’t get a chance to come along or you were too busy at the event that day to take it all in!
So, at 8.30 am we started with this:
And with the indispensible help of our amazing volunteers, Rehanon and Laura, and (mildly co-erced?) partners, Nik, Al and Pat, a lot of this type of thing went on to make the venue suitably festive:
Meeting all the sellers was a total high point for us, having spent months being in contact via email, it was so nice to actually chat with them. Having read about many of them through the ‘Meet the Seller’ interviews featured on this blog, it made seeing their work all the more interesting having more of an idea of the thought processes, inspiration and personality behind their creations.
And of course, there was all those gorgeous handmade products (the majority of which seemed to get snapped up by Lisa as the day went on, if her arm fulls of bags were anything to go by!).
It would also be amiss of me not to recall the food that was available, including some of the most amazing sausage rolls the three of us have EVER tasted!
There will, of course, be more Craftaganzas in the future and we have other events and ideas in the pipeline. We will be updating this blog regularly with info on these, plus other crafty related goodness, so there’s plenty of reason to keep popping by!
So, from the three of us, thanks to absolutely everyone who had a stall, came along to visit, helped us out, read this blog or showed even the mildest of interest!
